Leighton out 6 to 8 weeks

Flyers goalie Michael Leighton will undergo back surgery Monday and is expected to miss 6 to 8 weeks, the team said.

The procedure, a partial dissectomy, will be performed at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia.
