Basketball: Wilkerson pledges to Hartford

Roman Catholic's TreVaughn Wilkerson, a 6-foot-6 senior forward, committed Monday to play basketball at Hartford.

Last season, while averaging 7.1 points and 7 rebounds per game, he was named the Catholic League's defensive player of the year.

Wilkerson also received scholarship offers from Binghamton, Fairleigh Dickinson, LIU Brooklyn, and Wagner.

Hartford, of the America East Conference, is coached by Cardinal O'Hara and St. Joseph's University graduate John Gallagher.
