Imhotep Charter's D.J. Moore, a sure-handed and athletic wide receiver, committed Wednesday to play football at Maryland.

The 6-foot, 180-pound senior also had scholarship offers from Connecticut, Duke, Illinois, and Indiana, among others.

Last season, while helping the Panthers go 13-3 and advance to the PIAA Class AA championship game, Moore had 39 receptions for 800-plus yards and 13 touchdowns.

Moore also served as Imhotep's placekicker.
