Nine area players selected to play in Big 33 Football Classic

Nine players from Southeastern Pennsylavnia schools have been tabbed to play for the Pennsylvania squad in the 57th annual Big 33 Football Classic.

Coatesville fullback-linebacker Tyler Burke, Cardinal O'Hara wide receiver Thaddius Smith, Episcopal Academy tight end Evan Butts, Council Rock South offensive lineman Eric Gallo, Neshaminy defensive end Luke Carrezola, La Salle linebacker Zaire Franklin, Imhotep Charter defensive back Deandre Scott, Downingtown East defensive back
Brandon Feamster, and Perkiomen Valley athlete Rasaan Stewart were selected.

The Big 33 Football Classic, which pits the best high school players form Pennsylvania against Maryland, will be played June 14 at 7:06 p.m. at HersheyPark Stadium. The game will be  broadcast live on the NFL Network.

Coatesville's Matt Ortega is among the assistant coaches for the Pennsylvania squad.

Pennsylvania blasted Maryland, 58-27, last year.
