Basketball: Camden takes on St. Anthony

Camden will travel to Jersey City tonight to face national power St. Anthony of Jersey City.

The game will tip at 5 p.m. at the Community Education and Recreation Center in Jersey City.

The game is a clash of two of the more fabled programs in New Jersey scholastic basketball history.

Camden is 6-1 and No. 10 in The Inquirer South Jersey Top 10. The Panthers will be led by sophomores Brad Hawkins and Jamal Holloway as well as juniors Rasool Hinson and Will McCants and senior Jamil Maddred.

Hinson scored a career-high 26 in a 68-61 win over Manchester Township in Camden's last game on Saturday night.

St. Anthony is 7-1 and No. 5 in the Newark Star Ledger's state rankings. The Friars' loss was 48-47 to Paterson Eastside.

St. Anthony is led by senior guard Tarin Smith, who has offers from La Salle and St. Joseph, among other programs, as well as senior guard Cheddi Mosley and junior forward Markis McDuffie.
