Phillies Lee, Brown All-Stars

Cliff Lee and Dominic Brown will represent the Phillies in this year's Major League Baseball All-Star game.

The teams were announced tonight. For Lee it will be his fourth all-star appearance while Brown will be making his first.

The game will be staged on July 16 at the New York Mets Citi Field.

For Lee it was a lucrative announcement since he will earn a $50,000 bonus for being selected.

This is Lee's second time being selected as a Phillies, with the first time in 2011. He was also and all-star in 2008 and 2010.

This season Lee is 10-2 with a 2.73 ERA. He has 119 striketouts in 131 2/3 innings.

Brown entered Saturday's game with the Atlanta Braves hitting .279 with 22 home runs, 60 RBIs and .874 OPS.

In addition, Millville graduate and Inquirer 2009 South Jersey Player of the Year Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels was voted an American League starting outfielder. This is Trout's second straight all-star appearance.
