Game 88: Kendrick looks to continue success vs. Braves

On Friday, Atlanta Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez was saying how much trouble his team has had with Kyle Kendrick and with good reason. Kendrick is 7-1 with a 2.86 ERA lifetime against the Braves.

Kendrick (7-5, 3.59 ERA) goes against righthander Tim Hudson (4-7, 4.22) in tonight's second game of the weekend series at Citizens Bank Park.

The Phillies have the same lineup in tonight's game against the Braves as they did in Friday's 5-4 win with one exception. Carlos Ruiz returns to the starting lineup after getting a breather.

Humberto Quintero had three RBIs in Ruiz's absence. What's interesting is that Quintero has eight RBIs compared to six for Ruiz in 38 fewer at-bats.

A key during these final 75 games is getting Ruiz on track offensively despite the fact that he is batting eighth in the lineup.

Here is the Phillies lineup.

1.Michael Young, 3B

2. Chase Utley, 2B

3. Jimmy Rollins, SS

4. Ryan Howard, 1B

5. Domonic Brown, LF

6. Delmon Young, RF

7. Ben Revere, CF

8. Carlos Ruiz, C

9. Kyle Kendrick, P
