GA's Dotson advances to quarters in dunk competition

Germantown Academy’s Greg Dotson has advanced to the quarterfinal round of voting in the 2013 American Family Insurance National High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships Facebook voting competition.

From now until Feb. 27, Dotson will compete against Trevon Session (Murrieta Mesa HS, CA) in a bracket-style knockout competition.

The contestant who receives the most votes will advance to the semifinal round next week, which runs from Feb. 27-Mar. 6.

Winners are wholly determined by fan voting at facebook.com/highschoolslam.

The dates for each round of voting are as follows:

Quarterfinal Round: Feb. 20-27

Semifinal Round: Feb. 27-Mar. 6

Final Round: Mar. 6-20

To vote and watch videos of all the remaining contestants, visit the official Facebook page (facebook.com/HighSchoolSlam). Quarterfinal round voting is underway and closes Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 1 P.M. ET. To vote on mobile, visit highschoolslam.com.

Winners of the Facebook competition will be announced March 20 and will travel to Atlanta April 4-5 to compete in the American Family Insurance National High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, airing April 6 at 2 p.m. ET on CBS.
