Yesterday evening, The National Constitution Center hosted a '20s inspired cocktail competition at the beautiful Stratus Rooftop Lounge at Hotel Monaco. The event was in celebration of the Center's world-premiere exhibit "American Spirits: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition".

Yesterday evening, The National Constitution Center hosted a '20s inspired cocktail competition at the beautiful Stratus Rooftop Lounge at Hotel Monaco. The event was in celebration of the Center's premiere exhibition American Spirits: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition.

To honor this period in American history, Philadelphia mixologists from Stratus Rooftop Lounge at the Hotel Monaco, Square 1682 at the Hotel Palomar, XIX at the Hyatt at the Bellevue, Amuse Bar at the Le Meridien, and 10 Arts Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia gathered to battle for guests and judges senses with the objective of earning a title in the "Best '20s-Inspired Cocktail" competition. Attendees were dazzled with delicious, authentic cocktail creations made traditionally with distilled Bluecoat Gin and other fine ingredients. Guest judges included Philadelphia personalities Laura Burkhardt, WHERE Magazine Publisher; Marisa Magnatta, Associate Producer of WMMR's Preston and Steve Morning Show; Maria Papadakis, Emmy award-winning media personality and spokeswoman; and Brian Sims, Pennsylvania State Representative. The evening was emceed by FOX 29 traffic reporter Kacie McDonnell.

When all was said and sipped on, Nate Churchill of XIX earned the title of "Judge Favorite" for his Orange Blossom, while Stephen Diaz of 10 Arts at the Ritz Carlton received "Guest Favorite" for his Red Fizz Charleston. Congratulations to all participants!
