A story in Thursday's Magazine section about the new HBO series Boardwalk Empire, set in Atlantic City, contained incorrect information about the pattern of the Boardwalk created on the show's set, built in Brooklyn, N.Y. Although parallel planking running in a lane down the middle no longer exists, it was present in the early 1900s and functioned as a pathway for the rolling chairs.

An item in yesterday's editions of The Inquirer misstated the sentence of Clarence Moore, who pleaded guilty to raping a woman who could not hear or speak in Germantown last November. The sentence was eight to 16 years, followed by four years of probation.
