Clifford Miller, 72, of Lawnside, fell asleep while driving the otherwise empty bus on Evesham Road around 4 p.m., Voorhees police said.

The bus drifted off the road, struck a vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign, spun around, then drove over the lawn of the New Horizons Community Church and crashed into a wall.

Miller was taken to Virtua West Jersey Hospital Voorhees with minor injuries. The church was declared temporarily unsafe pending a full inspection. - Allison Steele
