Chesco hospital moves emergency room after fire

Smoke from a dryer fire in a basement laundry at Chester County Hospital early last night caused the hospital temporarily to move the emergency room to another spot on the first floor.

Hospital spokeswoman Colleen Leonard Leyden said the fire that broke out shortly after 5:30 p.m. was quickly extinguished by the West Chester Fire Department. She said that no injuries were reported and that there was no structural damage to the hospital. - Martha Woodall
