A report on TMZ.com yesterday indicated that all did not go well for Jamie Foxx while he was in town filming Law Abiding Citizen. He had to fight off a stalker who made his way into his Center City hotel room.

According to TMZ.com, the March 22 incident began when a man tried to get inside Foxx's room at the AKA Hotel near Rittenhouse Square. The man told Foxx that he was Beyonce Knowles' producer, but was soon found out and the two men struggled before the intruder left. On Tuesday, Foxx's bodyguards saw the man on the street and called police.

Police identified the alleged intruder yesterday as Steven Taliver, 49, who gave a homeless shelter as his address. He was charged with burglary and related offenses for being in a private part of the hotel at 135 S. 18th St.

Police, however, would not identify the complainant, and spokesman Lt. Frank Vanore would not elaborate on the incident. Foxx was out of town yesterday, and his publicist could not confirm the report. - Inquirer staff
