Police have released a description of a man they believe is robbing pizza shops at gunpoint in South Philadelphia.

Police have released a description of a man they believe is robbing pizza shops at gunpoint in South Philadelphia.

The suspect is described as a black, age 35 to 40, about 6-foot-2, medium build, light complexion with freckles, light brown eyes, and sandy brown to reddish eyebrows. He has been seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and may be driving a silver vehicle. During one robbery, he told his victim that his name was Maurice, police said.

Police believe the man robbed four pizza shops between 8 and 11 p.m. since March 5: Pizza Shack, Two Street Pizza, Jackson Village Pizza, and Queen Village Pizza.

The man enters the store with his hood pulled over his head and orders food or looks at the menu. He then pulls a gun, hands workers a black plastic bag, and orders them to fill it with money. Police believe he has stolen at least $285. - Joelle Farrell
