A program aimed at keeping Camden students in high school is to be unveiled today by Rutgers University-Camden and the AT&T Foundation.

AT&T is putting up $400,000 to create the Rutgers/LEAP High School Preparation Initiative, which will serve about 300 students in eighth through 10th grade at the LEAP Academy University Charter School. The money will go toward projects including curriculum and teacher development, tutoring, and after-school programs, Rutgers spokesman Mike Sepanic said.

The grant will fund the initiative for four years, Sepanic said. - Rita Giordano
