A crime not of passion: Victoria's Secret robbed

It was no sweetheart deal.

Two Valentine's Day crooks hit the Victoria's Secret store in Chester County's Coventry Mall at 11:10 a.m., filching 250 pairs of women's undergarments, including thongs and briefs worth $1,875.

The pilferers weren't seeking a last-minute token of affection for a significant other, North Coventry Township police said. "It is beyond personal use," Sgt. Robert Malason said. "It's indicative of someone who undertakes this as a criminal enterprise."

Police were looking for two black men, both about 5-foot-10 with short dark hair. One, in his late 20s and about 200 pounds, wore a red sweatshirt and blue jeans. The other, in his late 30s and about 250 pounds, wore a black leather jacket and blue jeans. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-323-8360.
