Phila. man pleads guilty to robbery at A.C. casino

MAYS LANDING, N.J. - A Philadelphia man has pleaded guilty to robbing a casino worker last year. Steven Samuel, 45, faces up to 10 years in prison when sentenced May 15.

Samuel admitted yesterday to attacking the 66-year-old coat-check employee in a service elevator at Bally's Atlantic City in March 2008 as she finished her shift. He grabbed the woman's bag of cash from the coatroom, then punched and kicked her when she would not surrender it.

He fled on foot, but was arrested nearby. The $155 in the bag was recovered. - AP
