Burlington City man killed in auto accident

A Burlington City man died early Monday morning after his car rammed into a truck on a heavily trafficked South Jersey highway.

Police withheld the victim's name yesterday, pending notification of his family.

The man, 41, was northbound on Bordentown Road in Burlington Township at 5:45 a.m. when his sedan rear-ended the truck near Dultys Lane, police said.

"We have no idea how it happened," Lt. Wayne Maver, spokesman for the township police, said Monday. Northbound traffic was tied up for several hours while crews removed the wreckage and investigators scoured the scene.
