Gloucester County man's body found in Delaware River

The body of a Gloucester County man who apparently drowned was found yesterday in the Delaware River off National Park Borough.

The 45-year-old man, who was from Gloucester Township, had been reported missing by his wife Monday night, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. His name was not immediately released.

Two people on personal watercraft found his body just before 1 p.m., near the Beach Hill area of the park.

The police do not suspect foul play. There were no signs of trauma on the man's body. An autopsy is scheduled for today. - Allison Steele
