Maverick Network Solutions Inc., a Wilmington provider of debit payment services, said it had appointed Philip A. Valvardi 3d as chief executive officer. Valvardi is the former president of the MAC Network, one of the largest debit-payment networks and processors in the United States.

Firstrust Bank, Conshohocken, promoted Margaret H. Leimkuhler to chief operating officer from chief administrative officer.

Meridian Bank, Devon, hired Erwin K. Wenner as vice president for commercial lending. Wenner had been in the same position at New Century Bank in Phoenixville.

Ernesto B. Semedo joined TD Bank N.A. as vice president/foreign exchange sales in Philadelphia. He is responsible for sales and marketing of foreign-exchange products to commercial and retail clients in northern and central New Jersey. He had been a vice president in e-commerce sales at Deutsche Bank AG in New York.

Kenexa Corp., Wayne, which provides business services for human resources, said it had appointed Jerry Collier international recruitment process outsourcing development director. Collier had been at Alexander Mann Solutions, where he most recently was global sales and marketing director and investment banking director responsible for practice operations in Europe, the United States, and Asia.

First Chester County Corp., West Chester, and its subsidiary, First National Bank of Chester County, said the American Home Bank division had named Linda Naylor director of operations and strategic alliances. Naylor had been senior vice president, national operations for GMAC.
