Tues. S.J. boys’ roundup: Shawnee clinches division title

Tyler Gerber scored two goals, and Jesse Shea's goal with 10 minutes left in the first half proved to be the game-winner. Goalie Mike Hartman came up with four saves for the Renegades, ranked No. 3 in South Jersey by The Inquirer.

Also in the Olympic, second-ranked Eastern needed Rob Wiacek's overtime goal to squeeze past host Cherry Hill East, 1-0. Nick Tierce provided the assist for the goal that came with just two seconds left in the extra period.

Cherokee, ranked No. 4, blanked visiting Washington Township, 2-0, as Dave Schlatter assisted Jason Spieker's goal and then scored his own goal with a pass from Spieker.

Camden Catholic and visiting Paul VI played to a scoreless standoff as Irish goalie Matt McElhatton made 18 saves, and Paul VI's Ryan Murphy collected 11 saves.

Colonial. Anthony Colofranson contributed the winning goal with 12 minutes to play, lifting Gateway to a 2-1 success against visiting Overbrook. The Gators' Ryan Gavin and Overbrook's Chris Steiner had first-half goals.

Haddon Heights' defense allowed just two shots at goalie Jon Weaver, while Tom Hanna and Eric Tate knocked in goals for a 2-0 win over visiting Woodbury.

Haddonfield used Alex Johnson's two goals and goalie Vincent DelDuca's three saves to build a 3-0 victory at Audubon.

Burlington County. Ryan Romanoli set up Ian Carmelia for a goal with eight minutes remaining, boosting ninth-ranked Rancocas Valley past visiting Holy Cross, 1-0. Ryan Sanders made five saves.

Willingboro scored the first five goals of the game, including two by Till Griese in the first 28 minutes, en route to a 5-2 win at Burlington City. Griese finished with four goals and Hamilton Klar had two assists.

A. J. Baez scored off Matt DiLeo's assist early in the game and Palmyra's defense, anchored by goalie Tom Ewing (eight saves), stifled host Westampton Tech the rest of the way for a 1-0 win.

Pat Seiler and Adam Lipay scored six minutes apart for New Egypt in a 2-0 win at Florence.

Tri-County. Goals from Charles Francis, Brian Palangi and Harpreet Sing steered Deptford to a 3-2 overtime thriller at Pennsville.

Two goals each by Jim Banks and Avery Fralick sent Schalick past visiting Gloucester, 8-2.

Cape-Atlantic. Top-ranked and unbeaten St. Augustine (12-0) picked up its 10th shutout of the season, 2-0, at Mainland with a breakaway goal by Dominick Palmirie and Connor Hurff's 17th goal off Alex Robbins' assist.

N.J. Vocational Tournament. Dave Pryzbylkowski got loose for a hat trick, highlighting Medford Tech's 7-0 tournament win over visiting Camden County Tech.
