Lincoln University undergrads interested in pursuing a career in the museum field will be able to get some hands-on experience next fall, thanks to a new collaborative degree program with the Barnes Foundation.

The foundation, which houses an impressive catalogue of art that includes works by Picasso, Cézanne, and Renoir, will allow Lincoln students to take classes at its Merion location, and will send staff to Lincoln to teach classes as well. The program, which will be offered as a concentration under the visual arts degree, will allow students to focus on museum and collections studies, museum education, museum communications, or professional studio.

"It's a wonderful lab opportunity for them," said Gladys J. Willis, dean of humanities and graduate studies at Lincoln, of the chance for students to take classes at the Barnes Foundation.
