PRS/Franklin Group to close Newtown office
PRS/Franklin Group, which is part of inVentiv Health Inc., a provider of services to the pharmaceutical and health-care industries based in Somerset, N.J., has filed notice with the state of Pennsylvania that it is closing its Newtown office.

The notice says the office employs 61 people.
Marcia Frederick, a company spokeswoman, said all the employees will be offered jobs at a new office in Somerset, which is about an hour from Newtown.
The Newtown office is scheduled to close between Sept. 15 and the end of the year.
According to a news release, PRS/Franklin provides "sampling and compliance services."
InVentiv is scheduled to report second-quarter earnings Aug. 6. In its first-quarter report, it said total revenues decreased 2 percent to $257.7 million for the first quarter of 2009, compared with $262.3 million for the first quarter of 2008.
Net income was $7.9 million for the first quarter of 2009, compared with $8.0 million for the first quarter of 2008.
