FTC taps Morgan Lewis partner for general counsel

The Federal Trade Commission said today that it had appointed Willard K. "Will" Tom, a partner in the Philadelphia-based firm of Morgan Lewis & Bockius L.L.P., as general counsel.

The Federal Trade Commission said today that it had appointed Willard K. "Will" Tom, a partner in the Philadelphia-based firm of Morgan Lewis & Bockius L.L.P., as general counsel.

Tom will be the agency's chief legal officer and adviser, and his office will represent the agency in court and provide legal counsel to the commission.

He is expected to start in late June.
