ICG Commerce gets Whirlpool contract

Procurement specialist ICG Commerce has signed a multiyear, multimillion dollar contract with Whirlpool Corp. to find savings in the Michigan-based appliance maker's $1 billion of indirect expenditures.

Procurement specialist ICG Commerce has signed a multiyear, multimillion dollar contract with Whirlpool Corp. to find savings in the Michigan-based appliance maker's $1 billion of indirect expenditures.

Representatives from both companies would not disclose more specific terms.

The King of Prussia-based procurement company would be looking to assist with strategic sourcing (such as selecting a new service provider), category management (such as working with a provider to evaluate usage) and transaction management.
