Pink will get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Presented to Pink, real name Alecia Moore, by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the singer’s star will serve is the 2,656th issued since the stars were established in 1958. The star ceremony will happen Tuesday, Feb. 5 in a ceremony in front of the Hollywood and Highland Complex on Hollywood Blvd.

Doylestown native Pink will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next week in a ceremony that will feature appearances by comedian Ellen DeGeneres and actress Kerri Kenney-Silver.

Presented to Pink, real name Alecia Moore, by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the singer’s star will serve is the 2,656th issued since the stars were established in 1958. The star ceremony will happen next Tuesday, Feb. 5 in a ceremony in front of the Hollywood and Highland Complex on Hollywood Blvd.

At it since 1995, Pink has reportedly sold more than 40 million records worldwide to date. After first finding a place in music with the singing group Choice, she dropped her first solo album, Can’t Take Me Home, in 2000, which went double-platinum and helped cement her stardom.

Since then, the Doylestown native has released seven studio albums, generating four number-one hits on the Billboard charts, as well as 15 singles that made it to the top 10. Accolades-wise, she has taken home seven MTV Video Music Awards, three Grammies, three Billboard Music Award honors, and was named People’s Most Beautiful Woman last year, among other awards. She even makes her own wine.
