Manningham expects to play against Eagles

Giants receiver Mario Manningham missed practice yesterday with an injured left shoulder. Manningham hurt the shoulder on the final play of practice on Thursday, and was held out of the team's final workout for tomorrow's game against the Eagles as a precaution.

"[Doctors] thought it was better if he just not work today," New York coach Tom Coughlin said. "So I'm going to list him as questionable, but hopefully he will make it."

"I'm good. You'll see me out there," Manningham said. "I just fell on my shoulder yesterday. I'm cool. I'll be all right."

Middle linebacker Antonio Pierce (ankle) and offensive tackle Kareem McKenzie (groin) practiced fully and were listed as probable for the game. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who disclosed he has played with a cracked bone in his right foot all season, practiced on a limited basis and is listed as probable, while cornerback Aaron Ross (hamstring), defensive tackle Chris Canty (calf) and linebacker Michael Boley (knee) were ruled out.

Noteworthy

* Larry Johnson, 75 yards short of the team career rushing record, remained with the Kansas City Chiefs as of late yesterday afternoon. Peter Schaffer, Johnson's agent, said there had been no progress in discussions with the team over the future of the suspended running back. Shortly after the Chiefs suspended Johnson on Wednesday for 2 weeks, Schaffer said he would appeal the decision.

Johnson used a gay slur on his Twitter account on Sunday, and also questioned his coach's ability. He repeated the slur to reporters the next day. Schaffer said the suspension would cost his client more than $600,000.

* Arizona safety Antrel Rolle ($7,500, hitting defenseless receiver), Indianapolis cornerback Jacob Lacey ($10,000, TD celebration), Carolina running back DeAngelo Williams ($5,000, illegal chop block) and Cleveland linebacker Kaluka Maiava ($5,000, unnecessary roughness) were fined by the league for rule infractions in games last week.
