The current budget crisis, which amounts to $108 million in FY09 and potentially $1 billion over the next five years, has forced Nutter to significantly scale back his proposals. The question of the moment: How will these cuts affect his goals?
We reviewed the 103-page, five-year plan to see how the mayor outlined his goals and the strategies for reaching them. What follows is a condensed version of where the cuts fall in the five-year plan.
Of course, no snapshot is a complete picture. Many of Nutter's proposals - such as the 311 non-emergency system and PhillyStat - remain intact despite the budget cuts. The chart represents the major changes to Nutter's original five-year plan.
