A March for Equality, part of a series of events sponsored by the Equality Forum, a LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) civil-rights organization, will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at 5th and Market streets and proceed to Independence Hall for a rally.

SundayOUT!, the annual LGBT fair, will be held in Old City with more than 120 artisans, food vendors, music and other highlights from noon to 7 p.m.

Other events include a "Voices of Equality" concert this evening at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 19th and Market streets, featuring a 300-voice gay, feminist and mainstream chorus.

The weekend will include 34 panel discussions, eight parties and 10 special events. For info, www.equalityforum.com.

2 held in fatal Logan burglary

A 50-year-old man was killed in a burglary early yesterday in Logan. The victim, whose name was not released, was shot in the head about 2 a.m. at a rowhouse on Ashdale Street near Ogontz Avenue, police said. Detectives had two suspects in custody.

Shotgun injures 1 in bar holdup

Two gunman invaded Carlette's Back Yard, a tavern on Elmwood Avenue near 57th Street, Southwest Philadelphia, shortly before 1 a.m. yesterday, ordered everyone down, fired a shotgun blast at the floor, sending pellets into a patron's leg, cleaned out the cash register and robbed the patrons. The victim, 34, was in stable condition at the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania. The second thief was armed with a semiautomatic handgun, police said.

Smokin' Joe aids GIs

Philadelphia correctional officers will collect "Treats for Troops" packages for service personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center, 8301 State Road. On hand will be former heavyweight champ Joe Frazier, his son former boxer Marvis Frazier, and daughter Municipal Judge Jackie Frazier-Lyde, along with Army M/Sgts. William Blackman and John Baxter, and Pfc. Cynthia Hill, Corrections Commissioner Louis Giorla and William Lawton, PICC warden.

Subway free Sunday for runners

SEPTA will offer free rides on the Broad Street Subway Sunday for the 30th annual Blue Cross 10-Mile Broad Street Run.

Participants who take public transportation into Center City or drive and park at the finish line at the southern end of Broad Street, can travel on the Broad Street Line to Olney Transportation Center near the starting line at Broad and Somerville streets. At the end of the race, SEPTA trains will be standing by to take the athletes back to Center City stations and Olney.

Guilty plea to drug charges

Michael Elam, 29, of Darby, pleaded guilty yesterday to federal charges of conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute oxycodone, a prescription pain-killer sold under brand names Percocet and OxyContin.

Elam, who agreed to cooperate with the government as part of his plea, admitted that he forged more than 2,000 prescriptions between January 2007 and October 2008 for a total of more than 245,000 Percocet and OxyContin pills. The prescriptions were filled at a Springfield, Delaware County, pharmacy by a co-defendant, who pleaded guilty last week, and sold on the street.

Probe finds shipwreck location

In a joint effort by the Coast Guard and New Jersey State Police, the location of the wreck of the fishing vessel Lady Mary, which sank southeast of Cape May, N.J., on March 24, taking six lives, has been verified.

The Coast Guard Marine Board of Investigation, the group in charge of looking into the facts and circumstances surrounding the sinking of the vessel, organized the search. Hearings on the sinking are scheduled to resume Monday at the Oceanside Club in Cape May. *
