Man, 28, dead in Chester shooting

A 28-year-old man was fatally wounded in a shooting Friday evening in Chester. Shortly after 7 p.m., police found Shaquan Cruz-Chappell in the 2800 block of West Seventh Street with several gunshot wounds. Cruz-Chappell was taken by paramedics to Crozer-Chester Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 7:15 p.m. It was the city's 19th homicide.

A 28-year-old man was fatally wounded in a shooting Friday evening in Chester, police said.

Shortly after 7 p.m., police found Shaquan Cruz-Chappell in the 2800 block of West Seventh Street with several gunshot wounds. Cruz-Chappell was taken by paramedics to Crozer-Chester Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 7:15 p.m. It was the city's 19th homicide of 2017.
