76ers to play twice in China among four preseason games

The Mavericks, Magic, and Melbourne United will be the Sixers' preseason opponents.

Two games in China against the Dallas Mavericks highlight the preseason 76ers schedule, which was announced Thursday.

The four-game preseason will begin with a home game Sept. 28 against Australian professional team Melbourne United. The Sixers will host the Orlando Magic on Oct. 1, before taking part in the NBA China Games 2018. It will be the first time in franchise history that the Sixers play in China.

They will meet the Mavericks Oct. 5 in Shanghai and Oct. 8 in Shenzhen.

The Sixers will open their regular season Oct. 16 in Boston against the Celtics.

Sept. 28 vs. Melbourne United, 7 p.m.

Oct. 1 vs. Orlando, 7 p.m.

Oct. 5 vs. Dallas in Shanghai, China, 7:30 a.m.

Oct. 8 vs. Dallas in Shenzhen, China, 8 a.m.
