On Jrue Holiday's 23d birthday, USA Basketball announced Wednesday that the 76ers point guard was among 27 players invited to the men's national team's minicamp.

The players will train July 22-25 at UNLV's Mendenhall Arena in Las Vegas.

Dion Waiters, a South Philadelphia native who plays guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers, is among the invitees.

Last summer, Holiday was a member of the USA Select team that prepared the U.S. Olympic team for its gold-medal run. The NBA all-star also was a member of the U.S. junior national team as a high school senior in 2008.

Holiday had career highs in points (17.7), assists (8), and rebounds (4.2) per game last season for the Sixers. He became the youngest player in club history to make the all-star team.

Working out Wyatt. The 76ers have moved up their scheduled workout with Temple guard Khalif Wyatt, according to ASM Sports, which represents him.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder will take part in predraft drills Saturday at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. The Sixers originally were scheduled to work out the Norristown native on June 20.

The team has a first-round pick (11th overall) and two second-round selections (35th and 42d) in the June 27 draft. Wyatt is projected to go undrafted, but he could end up as a second-round pick.

He was the Big Five and Atlantic Ten Conference player of the year.

Wyatt, 22, averaged 20.5 points last season. He has worked out for Detroit, Houston, Washington, Portland, and Phoenix. He also has workouts planned with Dallas and the Los Angeles Lakers.
