The Roman Catholic archbishops of Philadelphia and New York might be longtime pals, but when it comes to the World Series they agree to disagree.
And they're willing to gamble their cities' favorite foods on the outcome.
"Cardinal [Justin] Rigali is one of my closest and dearest friends," said New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan. "I know he has exquisite taste in most matters. I just wish he had better taste in baseball teams."
"I have great esteem for Archbishop Dolan," countered Rigali. "He is a gifted spiritual leader who has been a true friend for many years. That is why I am so sorry he will be disappointed when the Phillies successfuly defend their world championship."
