The Phillies have signed outfielder Grady Sizemore to a minor league contract, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

The Phillies have signed outfielder Grady Sizemore to a minor league contract, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon. He will report to triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday.

Sizemore, 31, hit .216 (10 2B, 2HR, 15 RBI, 5 SB) in 52 games with the Red Sox this season before being released in June 18. Sizemore, a three-time AL All-Star and two-time AL Gold Glove winner, hit .300 (9-30) in his hight games against National League opponents, including .333 (5-15) in four games against the NL East.
