HARRISBURG - A strong start and a home run by Matt Maloney and a three-run homer by Matt Costanzo led the Reading Phillies to a 6-1 win over the Harrisburg Senators yesterday in the Eastern League.
Maloney allowed a run on three hits in six innings to get his first double-A win. He struck out seven and aided his cause with a homer in the third to put the Phillies up, 1-0.
Costanzo, a graduate of Archbishop Carroll High in Delaware County, was the Philadelphia Phillies' No. 1 draft choice in 2005.
