Passion hold on to beat struggling Fantasy, 35-26

The Philadelphia Passion (3-0) jumped out to an early lead against the Orlando Fantasy (0-3) behind three touchdowns by running back Marirose Roach.

The Philadelphia Passion (3-0) jumped out to an early lead against the Orlando Fantasy (0-3) on Dec. 10 behind three touchdowns by running back Marirose Roach. Roach ran for two touchdowns and caught a TD pass from quarterback Christie Bell, who played with a broken throwing hand in the first half before being relieved by Roach.

The Fantasy cut into the Passion's lead by scoring two touchdowns before halftime. Then, roughly three minutes into the second half, Orlando scored again and took their first lead of the game at 26-21.

However, another pair of touchdowns by Roach secured the 35-26 win for Philadelphia.

The Passion finished with 141 yards on the ground and 36 through the air. Orlando finished with 49 passing yards and 137 rushing.

The win gave Philadelphia sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference. The Passion will wrap-up their season on the road on Jan. 13, 2011 against the Tampa Breeze.
