Wednesday’s South Jersey roundup: Winslow’s Jalissa Pitts scores overtime winner

Jalissa Pitts' overtime goal gave the Winslow Township girls' soccer team a 4-3 win against Cherry Hill West on Tuesday. Pitts and Kayla Branham both scored twice for Winslow. After the teams combined for six goals in the first half, neither team scored again until Pitts booted in the game-winner.

Nina Burden's hat trick guided Northern Burlington to a 4-2 win against Burlington Township. Victoria D'Imperio scored one goal and assisted on another for the Greyhounds. Goalkeeper Rachel Quigley made 10 saves.

Sydney Farnham scored twice and Carly Henning and Jamie Cutera added goals as Haddon Township beat Woodbury, 4-2.

Adriana Careless, Marissa Ciemny, Rachael Hollywood and Sydney Wurst scored in Clearview's 4-2 win against Kingsway. Kaitlyn Pirrotta added two assists, while Julia Gehring and Elizabeth Bonomo had one.

Kaitlin Deal and Alex Lowry scored twice and Micaiah Croce scored once in Gloucester Tech's 5-1 win against Hammonton.

Yessi Alvarado-Cruz and Aniston Frazier scored for Lindenwold in the team's 2-1 win against Paulsboro.

Maya Olimpio and Maddy Levine combined for 10 saves in Haddonfield's 5-0 win against Collingswood.

Boys’ soccer

Zach Bruno exploded for four goals and one assist as Cherry Hill West topped Winslow Township 7-1. Jovanny Trinidad, Konrad Jablonski and Pat O'Shaughnessy were Cherry Hill West's other scorers.

Chris Rubena's hat trick led the way in Gateway's 7-1 win against Overbrook (N.J.). Ben Alzate tallied two goals and an assist. Eric Smith scored once and assisted on two other goals, and Caden Avery scored one goal. Charles McCormick had three assists for Overbrook.

Tre Stevenson's goal in the last seconds of the first half guided Millville to a 1-0 win against Atlantic City. Nate Goranson kept Atlantic City off the scoreboard with five saves.

Brian Burns scored twice in Woodbury's 2-0 win against Haddon Township. Brett Hintz stopped four shots and picked up the shutout in goal.

Cherry Hill East defeated Cumberland, 1-0, on Eddie Grant's penalty kick in the second half.

Luke Andris, Justin Giordano and Sukhdip Singh netted goals in Burlington Township's 3-1 win against Northern Burlington.

Bryan Andrade and Bruce Williams scored as Sterling defeated Audubon 2-0. Jake Scully assisted on both goals.

Lindenwold took down Paulsboro, 6-0. Bryan Arevalo, Christian Bonilla, Jesus Llanes, Brayan Sarmiento, Redin Sarmiento, and Carlos Menjivar scored. Goalkeeper Mayquin Reyes made three saves to record the shutout.

Haddonfield cruised past Collinswood 6-0. Steve DiTomaso and Tommy Mollis netted two goals each, and Christian Ball and Geno Mariano also scored.

Field hockey

Emmalynn Carson scored the lone goal off an assist by Hannah Blake as Mainland topped Cedar Creek, 1-0. Mainland goalkeeper Michaela Brady saved all 13 shots she faced.

Seven different players scored in Shawnee's 10-0 win against Middle Township. Amanda Beck, Riley Eck and Erica Solomen scored two goals each, while Logan Anderson, Madison Connolly, Meredith Farley and Chrissy Solomen scored once.
