Thursday’s South Jersey roundup: Seneca boys’ soccer pulls away against Bishop Eustace

Luke Leach, Johnny Meale and Eric Pierre scored for the Seneca boys' soccer team in a 3-2 win against Bishop Eustace on Thursday. The teams entered halftime tied, but Leach's goal early in the second half gave the Golden Eagles the edge.

Luke Luerhs knocked in two goals in Cherry Hill East's 3-0 victory over Cherokee on Thursday. Eddie Grant accounted for the Cougars' other goal.

Gunner Hoffman had three saves as Williamstown shutout Highland 3-0. Dylan Farracchio, Bryce Monahan and Cullen Rutter each knocked in one goal.

Vincent Petulla had a goal and an assist to help Hammonton beat Middle Township 2-0. Caden Hurst had a six-save shutout. Thomas Dawson also chipped in one goal.

Eastern earned a 1-0 win against Lenape thanks to a goal from Tanner Koch. Connor Blasberg recorded the shutout.

Girls’ soccer

Paul VI had five players score goals in its 8-1 blow out win against Camden Catholic. Alyssa Carfagno led the way with three goals, while Abby Lutz had two. Kaitlin Burke, Hannah Exley and Madeline Tursi each scored one goal.

Kiley Endres and Alexandra Kornafel each scored a goal as Shawnee defeated Washington Township 2-1. Brooke Steel had both assists.

Julianne Calalo scored Cherry Hill East's lone goal in its 13-1 loss to Eastern. The Vikings had three players – Linsey Champa, Riley Hudson and Amanda Middleman – score two goals.
