West Chester Rustin advances to another Flyers Cup final

Matt Owens had three goals and one assist as West Chester Rustin advanced to the Class A Flyers Cup final with a 6-2 win over Hershey on Monday at Ice Line. Ian Strasinski added two goals for the Golden Knights, who received 23 saves from Joel Keller.

Veteran head coach Nick Russo has guided Rustin to seven Flyers Cup championships, five state titles, and a 2017 national championship. The Golden Knights will go for their fifth straight Flyers Cup crown on Wednesday against the winner of the Strath Haven-West Chester East game.

In Class 3A action, Marc Colavita netted two goals to lead St. Joseph's Prep past Malvern Prep, 5-3. Conor Ryan added one goal and two assists for the Hawks, who got 22 saves from Troy Stefano.

St. Joseph's Prep will play Holy Ghost Prep for the championship next Monday at Hatfield. The Firebirds took down Cardinal O'Hara, 6-5, on Monday.

The Class 2A semifinals will take place on Tuesday: Central Bucks South vs. Council Rock South, at Hatfield, 7:45 p.m.; and Downingtown East vs. Conestoga, at Ice Line, 6:30 p.m.
