Isaiah Wong, the dynamic, multidimensional senior point guard for Bonner-Pendergast, will make his college commitment known by video on Wednesday at a time to be determined.
His top five choices are Connecticut, Villanova, Miami, Clemson, and Pittsburgh.
Wong, who was named MVP of the Catholic League by coaches last season, was second in the league in scoring (22.2 points per game) as the Friars finished as runners-up to Roman Catholic. He also led them to the PIAA Class 5A semifinals, losing to eventual champion Abington Heights.
At 6-foot-3, Wong is a tenacious defender and a willing passer who can create offense for others.
ESPN ranks Wong as the No. 78 player in the nation and the No. 3 player in the state.
