Neshaminy's Allison Harvey had one word for her basketball team's recent offensive output: stagnant.

Devon Storms said it less succinctly.

"Our offense has been off," the senior said. "We haven't been scoring the ball."

That was the state of the Neshaminy team heading into Monday night.

Then the squad hit seven three-pointers through the first 22 minutes against visiting Perkiomen Valley en route to a 47-20 win.

"It's a really good sign. Our momentum kept building," Harvey said. "We pressed, sped them up on offense and they started turning it over. Then we would get a big shot on our offensive side. It was a big momentum changer. Coming into the third quarter, having a big defensive stop followed by a good offensive start - it's a game changer."

Harvey was a game changer right away for Neshaminy (13-5), as she hit two early threes to stifle PV (9-9). The sophomore's treys were just the second and fourth baskets of the contests for her squad, but they set the tone early.

"Like Devon said, we've been off - I've been off," the guard said. "Once I got that first three, I was like, OK I'm good. I got this."

The threes were daggers, each and every one, whether they came from Harvey, Storms, Brooke Mullin or Olivia Scotti.

"We knew we had to get back in our groove, get back in our rhythm," Storms said. "I thought our offense clicked tonight."

While the offense was better than recent outings, it was the defense that continually frustrated the Vikings, which led to turnovers and mistakes. Neshaminy especially focused on shutting down PV down low, knowing the 1-2 punch of Meg Jonassen and Taylor Hamm could do a lot of damage.

"We knew that pressing them would be a good way to stop their two bigs," Storms said. "We didn't want them to be able to set up and then them dish it in to them."

The pressure worked, as the Vikings couldn't run what they wanted to and at times looked lost on offense.

And on the other end?

Threes. Nothing but net.
