ISSUE | CITY SCHOOLS
A matter of money
Teachers are leaving the Philadelphia School District because they have worked without a contract for three years and raises for four years
("Fed up, teachers moving on," Sunday).
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Museum of Art is getting a
$196 million transformation ("The shape of things to come," Sunday). While I am happy that we support the arts, I can only imagine how
$196 million would benefit city schools, teachers, and students.
