The U.S. Department of Transportation has given $5 million to SEPTA to rehabilitate a bus loop and adjacent historic depot at 33d and Dauphin Streets in North Philadelphia, U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah (D., Pa.) said Wednesday.

SEPTA applied in July for the federal funds to restore the "bus barn" - a 110-year-old former trolley depot - and make improvements for accessibility, create better landscaping, and install new bike racks at the transportation hub. - Paul Nussbaum
