The SugarHouse Casino is looking for a new president to run the $355 million waterfront gaming hall slated to open in August. Leigh Whitaker, a SugarHouse spokeswoman, confirmed yesterday that Bob Sheldon, president and chief operating office of the casino since 2006, had left the organization. "He wanted to do something else," she said.

Contacted at his home in Cherry Hill, Sheldon said only that his departure was his decision.
He previously was chief operating officer of the Foxwoods Casino operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe in Connecticut. The tribe is a partner with a group of local investors trying to open a Foxwoods casino in South Philadelphia. - Jennifer Lin
