State police are searching for a 41-year-old Chester County woman and her 4-year-old daughter who disappeared after leaving home Wednesday night to visit a relative.

Foul play has not been ruled out, Trooper Thomas Barton said.

Veronica Faith Henry Roadside, a school bus driver in Caln Township, had been living with her former husband, Robert, and their child, Alexis, police said. The mother and child left home in a white 1993 Buick LeSabre at 9:30 p.m. to visit a relative in Newtown Square but never got there, Barton said. The car's Pennsylvania license plate number is GKK-4359.

Barton said Robert Roadside reported the two missing and was cooperating in the investigation. The couple had reconciled and resumed living together five months ago. "She was not leaving him, as far as we know, though she was leaving at 9:30 at night to go to a relative's house," Barton said.

Roadside is white, approximately 5 feet tall, weighs 100 pounds, and has shoulder-length blond hair. The child is white, about 3 feet tall, weighs 35 pounds, and has brown shoulder-length hair.

Barton said other law enforcement agencies in the tristate area had been asked to help.
