2 killed in separate Philly shootings
Victims were gunned down in North and West Philadelphia.
Two men were killed Monday in separate shootings in the city, police said.
About 3:20 p.m. outside in the 2500 block of North Bancroft Street in North Philadelphia, a 35-year-old man was shot six times in the chest and stomach, once in the back and once in the right thigh. Police took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:46 p.m.
On Monday night, a 43-year-old man was shot several times outside in the unit block of North Millick Street in West Philadelphia. He was taken by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:14 p.m.
Police reported no arrests or motives in either case, and the victims' names were not released.
