4 wounded in Oxford Circle shooting

Two 17-year-old boys and two men were wounded when gunfire erupted Thursday night at an intersection in the city's Oxford Circle section, police said.
About 8:50 p.m. at the corner of Oakland and Van Kirk Streets, at least 16 shots were fired from two semi-automatic guns about 10 feet apart, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
Police responding to reports of gunfire found a 17-year-old boy shot in the hip. They took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition.
Around the same time, three male victims — ages 17, 21, and 23 — arrived in a bullet-riddled minivan at Jefferson Frankford Hospital, Small said. They were admitted in stable condition with gunshot wounds to their lower torsos and legs.
The minivan had been struck by gunfire at least 10 times and the three victims may all have been inside the vehicle when they were shot, Small said.
Surveillance video from a corner store showed another vehicle fleeing east on Van Kirk. There may have been a gun battle between the two vehicles, Small said.
No motive for the shooting was immediately known.
