A Temple University faculty member was assaulted and robbed at a campus hall this morning and police are searching for a suspect, a university spokesman said.

The unidentified victim was approached from behind at Anderson Hall, then assaulted before the attacker got away with some personal items, the spokesman said.

The attack took place at about 11:55 a.m.

Temple police are handling the investigation and looking for a suspect described as an African American male, 6 feet tall, wearing tan pants and a tan shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call campus police, who are reachable on campus at ext. 1-1234.
