3rd man fatally shot

A 19-year-old male was fatally shot this afternoon on the 900 block of West Master Street, police said.

The victim was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital after he was shot twice in the head and four times in the chest shortly after 3 p.m., according to Officer Jillian Russell, a police spokeswoman. He was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later, she said.

The killing was the third fatal shooting of the day. Two men were killed in separate incidents overnight, police said.

A 30-year-old man was shot multiple times in the head on the 2900 block of Turner Street shortly before 12:30 a.m., Russell said. He was pronounced dead at Hahnemann around 12:46 a.m., Russell said.

Around 12:48 a.m., a 29-year-old man was shot once in the head on the 5500 block of Hill Creek Circle, Russell said. He was pronounced dead on the scene around 1 a.m., she said. The victims' identities were not released.

No arrests have been made in any of the three fatal shootings, Russell said.
