Hear that bell? It’s first day of school for some

Today is the first day of school for some students in the Philadelphia area.

Perhaps you heard the shouts of joy from some parents. Or the moans of their children.

Among those heading back to school today are the 12,000 students in the West Chester Area School District, including the Sarah Starkweather Elementary in West Chester.

Most schools, including Philadelphia public and parochial schools, will open next week after the Labor Day holiday weekend.
